AFC Cup: Ançã beat Naval and celebrated in Coimbra

The Coimbra Football Association wanted to make the Cup final an unforgettable party. And it was, especially during extra time and the long minutes until the stadium exit – moments that will remain in the memory of all those who travelled from Ançã.

In terms of sport, Saturday's game was typical of the end of the season. Ançã and Naval 1893 seemed to have found the pitch, the distance to the stands and the size of the stadium strange.

The odd long-range shot, the occasional run without consequences. The rule, however, was that the ball was exchanged and cut in the middle of the field and there were zero (or almost) opportunities.

In the stands – only the lower central area, next to the benches, opened – the activity was different, as both clubs brought out noisy and numerous fan groups and mobilized fans.

Still, it is worth mentioning that Naval, district champion of the Elite, had more of the ball and even managed some finishes.
