Beşiktaş reported the transfer of national player Orkun Kökçü , who plays for Benfica, to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP).

In a statement made to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) regarding the transfer, the black-and-white club said, "Negotiations have begun with the player and his club, Sport Lisboa E Benfica-Futebol SAD, regarding the transfer of professional football player Orkun Kökçü."

The 24-year-old star midfielder will arrive in Istanbul this evening.

Kökçü will sign the contract that binds him to Beşiktaş after passing his medical check.

Beşiktaş will hold a signing ceremony for its new transfer at Tüpraş Stadium tomorrow.

Orkun Kökçü scored 11 goals and 7 assists in 45 matches for Benfica in the league and Champions League last season.
