Beira-Mar strengthens its position at the Benfica House in Águeda

There are three transfers that are shaking up the “world” of billiards in Aveiro: Estêvão Simões, João Morais and Paulo Lima, all from Casa do Benfica de Águeda - the team that dominated the 2024/25 season in the Aveiro region - will be players in the Sport Beira-Mar section in the new sports season. Estêvão Simões, after three years at Casa do Benfica de Águeda - his first club in Portugal - will represent the “auri-negro” club in 2025/26. On his Facebook page, the Brazilian athlete, current district champion of the 1st Division of Aveiro of Portuguese pool, both individually and collectively, wrote that it is «a cycle that is ending, but that leaves deep marks on the heart and memory», considering the Agueda club «a true home where I met incredible people, who made every moment special and unique». Regarding the move to the Aveiro emblem, Estêvão Simões says «it is an honour to be part of a club with such tradition and seriousness in sport», promising «to give back on the tables, with dedication, focus and results».
