"I was looking forward to competing in Turin, but after the final in Athens, I regret to announce my withdrawal due to a nagging injury," Djokovic wrote on Instagram.

In turn, the "Bjoern Borg Group" includes the leader of the ranking: Italian Jannik Sinner, German Alexander Zverev, American Ben Shelton and Auger-Aliassime.
In the first phase of the ATP Finals, the competition will be divided into two groups, with the top two players from each group advancing to the semifinals. The final will be played on November 16.
Alcaraz, who will be playing in this event for the third time and whose best achievement is reaching the semifinals in 2023, is locked in a correspondence duel with Sinner for the lead in the tennis rankings at the end of the season. The Italian defeated Fritz in the final a year ago.
