TVF announced: 2 departures in the National Men's Volleyball Team

Turkish Volleyball Federation announced that the National Men's Volleyball Team Head Coach Umut Çakır and Mert Karatop have parted ways.

The Federation made a statement on the issue.

The statement said, "We have mutually agreed to part ways with our National Men's Volleyball Team Head Coach Umut Çakır and our assistant coach Mert Karatop. We would like to thank Umut Çakır and Mert Karatop for their contributions to our National Men's Volleyball Team and wish them success in their future careers."

The National Men's Volleyball Team, managed by Umut Çakır, had 2 wins and 6 losses in the first 8 matches of the 2025 FIVB Nations League (VNL). The crescent-star team is in 16th place in the 18-team league.
