Zeynep Sönmez made history by defeating Shinyu Wang

National tennis player Zeynep Sönmez made history by defeating Chinese Shinyu Wang at Wimbledon.

According to the Tennis Federation's statement , Zeynep Sönmez defeated world number 32 Shinyu Wang 2-0 with sets of 7-5, 7-5.

Sönmez, who made it to the third round at Wimbledon, will face the winner of the Suzan Lamens-Ekaterine Alexandrova match.
