The woman who fell from the Düden Waterfall was found 30 kilometers away.

The incident took place at around 23:00 last Tuesday, at the point where the Düden Waterfall flows into the sea on Lara Street in Çağlayan Neighborhood of Muratpaşa district.

Citizens who saw a woman's bag and a pair of women's slippers at the edge of the fence at the point where the Düden Waterfall flows into the sea in Antalya's Muratpaşa district reported the situation to the police teams patrolling the area.

After a document in the name of Emine Akan was found in the bag, the teams first tried to reach the person by phone but could not get any results. Fire and police teams started a search in the rocky area from land.

Maritime police searched the sea for approximately three hours. AFAD teams also conducted a drone-assisted search of the cliffs, but found no results. A bag found at the scene contained some of Akan's personal belongings, along with 1,580 Turkish Lira.

FOUND 30 KILOMETERS AWAY Following ongoing work today by boats and divers from the Antalya Police Department's Sea Port Branch, both underwater and at the base of the cliffs, Coast Guard teams found a woman's body off Sıçan Island, approximately 30 kilometers from the incident. The body, brought ashore by boat, was identified as Emine Akan's. Akan's body was taken to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for an autopsy.
