Tea prices have increased!

The General Directorate of Tea Enterprises (ÇAYKUR) has increased the price of dry tea for the third time since June.

According to a report by Irfan Donat from Bloomberg, tea prices increased by 7.5 percent as of September, and new price lists have been sent to wholesale dealers and distributors as of today.

The price of dry tea was increased by 15 percent in mid-June, and a second increase of 3.5 percent was made at the end of July.

As of September, Çaykur implemented its third price hike for dry tea, with a 7.5 percent price increase. As a result of Çaykur's subsequent price hikes, dry tea prices have increased by approximately 28 percent since June.

Industry representatives speaking to Bloomberg HT said that following the third 5.5 percent increase in September, another similar increase is expected in the coming weeks.
