Parents' LGS statement: There are serious questions about exam security

In a statement made by the Student Parent Association, it was stated that the LGS results, in which 719 students received full scores, once again demonstrated how justified the concerns about the exam system are.
“The 2025 LGS, which has been described as the most difficult exam of the last 8 years, has brought with it serious questions about exam security,” the statement reads.
While the Ministry of National Education has stated that the exam was conducted in a transparent and auditable manner, parents are known to have filed lawsuits in some halls in Bursa and Istanbul over the distribution of incorrect booklets. Furthermore, isn't the circulation of booklets, accessible only to teachers, during exams a serious security breach? We find the minister's statement that "they are trying to gain profit" regarding this exam, which determines our children's future, unfortunate and condemn his targeting of concerned parents.
As a result of 23 years of schooling policies, schools in many provinces have been converted to imam-hatip and vocational high schools, while academic high schools like science, Anatolian, and social sciences have been reduced. This situation forces children into schools they don't want or, by straining their budgets, into private schools. The latest LGS exam results demonstrate that the criticism of "forcing private schools" is not a perception, but a reality.
The statement highlighted that the quotas for science, Anatolian, and social sciences high schools were reduced by 4,080, while those for imam hatip and vocational high schools were increased by 1,919. The question was asked, "Why are the quotas for academic high schools being reduced, while those for non-preferred imam hatip and vocational high schools being increased? Why is there no effective investigation into the irregularities in the 2025 LGS?"
"WE ARE AGAINST THE EXAM-CENTERED EDUCATION APPROACH"
In the statement, it was conveyed that VELİ-DER is against the exam-centered, imposing and elimination-oriented education approach and demanded an education system based on public, egalitarian, secular and scientific foundations.
The statement included the following statements: "Because this demand is vital not only for the future of the students but also for the future of the entire society."
