Chelsea wins FIFA Club World Cup

Chelsea won the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup title by beating Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) 3-0 in the final.

PSG, who defeated Real Madrid 4-0, and Chelsea, who beat Brazilian team Fluminense 2-0, met in the semi-finals at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, USA.
Both teams won European competitions in the 2024-2025 season. PSG won the Champions League trophy with a 5-0 victory over Inter in the final, while Chelsea won the UEFA Conference League title with a 4-1 victory over Real Betis.
US President Donald Trump and FIFA President Gianni Infantino were among the spectators at the Club World Cup final, which was held in the US with a new format in which $1 billion was distributed to clubs.
In the match that will determine the champion, English team Chelsea took a 3-0 lead against PSG in the first 45 minutes of the match.

The goals came from Cole Palmer in the 22nd and 30th minutes, and Joao Pedro in the 43rd minute.
Although the second half of the match started with attacks from the French team, Chelsea took control and did not concede a goal for the rest of the match.
PSG's Joao Neves received a red card in the 86th minute.
Leaving the field with a clear score of 3-0, Chelsea became the champions of the FIFA Club World Cup.
The event was expected to generate $2 billion in total revenue, $1 billion of which was announced to be distributed to the clubs.
The announced figure for the finalist was $30 million and for the champion was $40 million.
The total prize money that the champion team would win throughout the tournament was up to 125 million dollars.
Chelsea's win is the largest cash prize ever won from a football tournament.
Next year's 2026 World Cup will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The tournament final will be played at MetLife Stadium, the same stadium where the PSG-Chelsea final took place.
