Voronezh's Fakel was one of the first to receive an RPL license

Football club Fakel from Voronezh was one of the first to receive a license from the Russian Football Union (RFU), which gives the right to participate in the Russian Premier League (RPL). This was reported by the portal Sport24 with reference to representatives of the club.
This means that the team from the capital of Chernozemye meets all the requirements of the RPL. However, Fakel's chances of retaining a place in the league are slim. According to the sporting principle, the "blue-whites" have already been relegated to the FNL.
Now everything depends on Khimki, who are experiencing financial difficulties and risk withdrawing from the championship. If they finish the season higher than 13th place and do not receive an RFU license, then the team that takes 15th place will most likely receive the right to play in the play-off matches.
Orenburg is currently in this position, ahead of Fakel by three points before the last two rounds.
In the next match, the Voronezh footballers will play against Pari NN in Nizhny Novgorod. The Nizhny Novgorod team is in 13th place and has a real chance to avoid relegation. In the last game, they defeated Samara's Krylia Sovetov with a score of 5:2.
