Ossetian athletes distinguished themselves in Dagestan

The 55th International Freestyle Wrestling Tournament in memory of five-time world champion Ali Aliyev was held in Kaspiysk, Dagestan, where athletes from North Ossetia won two awards.

The press service of the Ministry of Sports of the Republic reported that the gold medal in the weight category up to 97 kg was won by Alikhan Ktsoev, who snatched victory in the final in a fight with an opponent from the Kemerovo Region.

The bronze medalist was Soslan Khinchagov (up to 125 kg).

Earlier it was reported that athletes from the Karachay-Cherkess Republic won six medals in sambo and taekwondo tournaments.
