HC Tambov Starts Regional Head's Tournament with Victory

The traditional pre-season tournament has started in Tambov. From August 10 to 12, four teams will compete for the cup for the prizes of the head of the region. The hosts of the competition, Rostov, Voskresensk Khimki and Saratov Kristall are fighting for victory.

Tambov opened the tournament with a match against hockey players from Saratov. The first two periods ended without goals, and in the final period the teams scored one goal each. Maxim Korinevsky scored for the Wolves in the 50th minute.

The fate of the meeting was decided in a series of shootouts, where the hosts were more accurate. Tambov eventually won 2:1 (shootouts).

Today, August 11, Tambov will play Rostov (0+) at 18:00, and will finish the tournament with a meeting on August 12 with Khimik at 17:00 (0+).
