Tiago Portas is the new coach of Sp. Horta
The 39-year-old coach from Aveiro faces a new challenge at the Azores club, ending his relationship with São Bernardo

Tiago Portas, after seven seasons at São Bernardo, will continue his coaching career at Sporting da Horta next season in the Portuguese handball Honor Division. This marks the end of a long tenure at the Aveiro club, first 17 years as a player and then seven as a coach. The Aveiro-based coach will replace Pedro Silva, who, in turn, will take over at Artística de Avanca, in the national first division.

Meanwhile, at the São Bernardo Sports Center, André Maio is the new president of the Administrative Committee, which will manage the Aveiro club for the next two years. André Sousa, Paulo Ferro, Nuno Leite, Telmo Lousado, and Paulo Figueiredo make up the remaining members of an Administrative Committee that was sworn in last Tuesday.
