Renato Gaúcho says Fluminense deserved to score at Arena MRV

Fluminense lost 3-2 to Atlético-MG this Sunday (11), in the 8th round of the Brasileirão . The tricolor goals were scored by Canobbio and Serna, but they were not enough to avoid defeat.
Renato Gaúcho decided to rest Paulo Henrique Ganso due to the artificial turf. The coach was also unable to count on Lima, who felt pain during Friday's training session. With the goal conceded in the last minutes, there was a feeling that Flu had let the point that was in their hands slip away. In a press conference, the coach commented on the result:
— We train so that mistakes don’t happen. Atlético conceded a goal due to a defensive mistake, and so do we. We train, talk and correct ourselves so that we make as few mistakes as possible, so that we don’t concede goals. But, unfortunately, we made mistakes and conceded goals. In the worst case scenario, based on what Fluminense produced today, I think we deserved at least a point, based on what we did in the second half. The last goal, a header, with one or two minutes left… the ball couldn’t even get close to our area. It did, and every ball that reaches the area is a goal threat. Unfortunately, we conceded the third — the coach stressed.
With the defeat, Fluminense remains with 13 points, in fifth place in the tournament, and sees Atlético-MG reach 12 and get closer. The Tricolor's next challenge in the Brasileirão is against Juventude , next Sunday (18), at the Alfredo Jaconi stadium. Before that, Fluminense hosts Unión Española on Wednesday (14), for the Copa Sul-Americana .
