Remo enters the G-4, while Coritiba and Goiás heat up the fight for leadership; see summary of Series B

The 16th round of the Brazilian Championship Series B is drawing to a close, and after the weekend, here are some results and position changes. Remo drew and moved into the top four, while Coritiba and Goiás continue to battle for the lead.

CRB and Coritiba opened the match in Maceió, with Coxa winning 1-0, with Gustavo Coutinho scoring a late goal. The Paraná team remained atop the table with 33 points, while CRB, with 21, is in 11th place.

Vila Nova and Operário played to a scoreless draw in Goiânia, with Tigre goalkeeper Halls saving Vinícius Mingotti's penalty. The Goiás team remained in 8th place with 23 points, while Operário, with 18, sits in 14th place.

At Jorge Ismael de Biasi Stadium, Novorizontino came from behind to win 3-1 against América-MG . Matheus Frizzo, Pablo Dyego, and César Martins scored for Tigre do Vale, which maintained its third-place finish, while Cauan Barros scored for Coelho, who finished 12th.

While at Curuzu, Atlético-GO even took the lead twice, but conceded the score both times to Paysandu, and the teams tied 2-2. Marcelinho scored both goals for Dragão, who finished in 10th place, while Rossi and Anderson Leite brought the tie for Papão, who finished in 18th place.

Second-placed Goiás, after stumbling at home in the last round, defeated Athletico-PR 1-0 at Ligga Arena. Anselmo Ramon brought the result to Esmeraldino, who reached 33 points. Meanwhile, Furacão, with 23, dropped to seventh place.

With the help of Heriberto Hulse, Criciúma came from behind to win 2-1 against Ferroviária. Thayllon opened the scoring for Locomotiva, who closed in on the fight for the bottom four in 15th place. Meanwhile, Tigre took a breather and reached 20 points in 13th place, thanks to goals from Felipinho and Jean Carlos.

In the battle for the top four, Chapecoense and Remo drew 1-1 at Arena Condá. Chapecoense took the lead with Rafael Carvalheira, while Luan Martins equalized in stoppage time. Chapecoense reached 23 points and moved up to 6th place. Remo, meanwhile, reached 25 and is first within the Série A promotion zone.

Athletic and Avaí , at 7 pm, Botafogo -SP and Volta Redonda, at 9 pm, still duel this Monday (14), at Arena Sicredi and Estádio Santa Cruz, respectively. And the closing of the round is up to Cuiabá and Amazonas, at 7:30 pm on Tuesday (15), at Arena Pantanal.
