McLaren sees the São Paulo GP as the "most exciting part"

McLaren arrives at the São Paulo GP with a strong message in the fight for the 2025 world title. Team boss Andrea Stella highlighted the decisive moment of the season and described the Interlagos race as one of the most electrifying on the calendar, essential in the battle between Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri .

"Now it's time to go to Brazil for the São Paulo GP. This is the most exciting part of the year, as we begin to close out the 2025 season. We are proud to have both our drivers leading the championship, separated by just one point," said Stella.

Despite the optimism, the team principal stressed that the title fight is far from over and, even without mentioning names, made a direct reference to the challenge posed by Max Verstappen of Red Bull .

"We are fully aware that we have a very strong opponent in the race for the Drivers' title, and it's no coincidence that he is the current four-time world champion. We will give our all in the remaining races to ensure that the trophy comes to us," he emphasized.

In addition to the unique atmosphere of Interlagos, the São Paulo GP will feature sprint races, an element that, according to Stella, could be decisive in the points battle: "This is also a sprint race weekend, which gives us more opportunities to score points."

"At the same time, we will need even more attention to detail to find the ideal car setup, especially considering the limited free practice time. As usual in São Paulo, we will be prepared to face the unpredictability of the weather, which has often been a decisive factor," concluded the McLaren boss.

The weekend schedule will include free practice and qualifying for the sprint on Friday the 7th, followed by the sprint race and qualifying for the main race on Saturday the 8th. On Sunday the 9th, the race is scheduled for 2 PM (Brasilia time).
