A hair pull on Marc Cucurella earned João Neves a red card. However, the midfielder is unlikely to miss any PSG matches next season. According to Article 74 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code, which applies to the Club World Cup, "any match suspension resulting from a sending-off (due to a direct or indirect red card) or multiple cautions issued to a player or official in different matches of the competition shall not be carried over to another competition."

Meanwhile, Luis Enrique, the PSG coach who got into a fight with João Pedro after the game, is expected to be fined by FIFA. "It was an avoidable situation," the Spanish coach admitted.
