Ganso leaves the field injured in Fluminense's defeat and is a cause for concern

Fluminense gained an extra concern on Saturday night (13/9), in addition to the 1-0 defeat to Corinthians at Maracanã, in the 23rd round of the Brazilian Championship. Midfielder Paulo Henrique Ganso left the match with pain in his left calf and may be out for the Tricolor's next commitments.
The number 10 felt the discomfort in the first half and didn't return for the second half. He was replaced by Lucho Acosta at halftime. The coaching staff preferred not to take any risks, as the player complained of difficulty putting weight on his leg after some sprints.
According to the club, Ganso will undergo imaging tests on Monday (September 15th) to assess the severity of the injury and determine recovery time. The midfielder is expected to be re-evaluated daily by the medical department.

With the defeat at home, Tricolor stopped at 30 points and lost the chance to get closer to the G-6. The next game for the Brasileirão will be against Fortaleza, away from home, next Sunday (21). However, before that, Fluminense faces Lanús, on Tuesday (16/9), in Argentina, for the first leg of the quarterfinals of the Copa Sudamericana.
