Arouca «patient» and «bold» before Casa Pia

Arouca «patient» and «bold» before Casa Pia
Coach Vasco Seabra believes the Wolves cannot be passive against a “very cohesive” team.

Arouca's coach emphasized that Casa Pia's low block could pose difficulties in the fifth round of the I Liga, to be played today in Arouca. "It will be a different game from last year; the opponent made a good transfer, and the squad is now closer to the coach's ideas. They are a very cohesive team that doesn't get destabilized by the opponent's build-up play. We have to force them to move. If we remain passive, they will become much more stable. We will have to be patient and bold," Vasco Seabra analyzed at a press conference. Before the first game after the transfer window closed, Vasco Seabra presented the final day's signings and expressed confidence in the options at his disposal. "Espen is better prepared because he was with us during these two weeks of the break. He's a capable midfielder from a technical standpoint, even with a bit more range than what we had in the squad. Jansonas is very young and comes from a different background, but he can compete with our strikers. We're well served," the coach admitted. Although Arouca has retained "a strong base" of last season's squad, it also boasts several "new faces." Vasco Seabra states that the players will still "need time to build relationships and feel like 'fish in water.'" José Fontán, Arnau Solá, and Alex Pinto are still doubtful for the match against Arouca, while Mateo Flores is out due to injury.

The new reinforcements "could be an option", guarantees the coach of the current ninth-placed team, who today faces Casa Pia (15th place), at the Municipal Stadium of Arouca, in a match scheduled to start at 6 pm and refereed by Ricardo Baixinho, from Lisbon.
