Canobbio suffers facial fracture in Fluminense game and will undergo surgery

When he was taken to a hospital in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro, he underwent tests and had a fracture in the zygomatic bone, on the left side of his face, confirmed. He will therefore undergo maxillofacial surgery.

Just seven minutes into the match, Canobbio collided with the Chilean goalkeeper and had to leave the field on a stretcher . Torgnascioli tried to get ahead of him and clear the ball. Both players went through concussion protocol.

After being replaced by Keno, the Uruguayan spent a few minutes on the bench, but shortly afterwards he went to the locker room. The goalkeeper, in turn, remained on the field.
