Galitos satisfied with the start of the season

Galitos satisfied with the start of the season
The Aveiro club has achieved several podium places in Setúbal and Oeiras and is already focused on the national long triathlon, which will take place in Caminha

The triathlon section of Clube dos Galitos congratulates itself on the “excellent results” achieved at the start of the 2025 sports season. The Aveiro club begins by highlighting “the impressive performance in the Lidl Setúbal Triathlon, one of the reference long-distance events in Portugal, held over the “Half Ironman” distance”. In the Sadina competition, Galitos won first place collectively among the 32 teams present, with individual highlights being Mário André Rocha (who won in the 30-34 age group and was fourth in the general classification) and Luís Rosas (second in the 40-44 age group). More recently, last Sunday, the team from Aveiro took part in the National Sprint Distance Championship, held in Oeiras. Among the 1,140 participants, 13 competed wearing the “chicken” jersey. Among the more experienced triathletes, Henrique Moreira stood out, winning the 30-34 age group and coming second in the overall classification. Miguel Gonçalves and João França secured third place in the 40-44 and 45-49 age groups, respectively. From the “galinácea” triathlon school, Joana Raimundo took first place in the cadet category, while Iara Vinagre was second among the juniors present.

«We are therefore highly motivated for the next stage of the National Championship, the Caminha Long Triathlon, which will take place on May 24th, where the club champion titles and the individual national long triathlon championship will be disputed», announces the Aveiro club in a press release.
