Arouca defeats Marítimo in pre-season match

Arouca, from the I League of football, won 4-1 today against Marítimo, from the II League, in a friendly match played behind closed doors, in Arouca.

The Wolves started the match with a lead thanks to a goal from Uruguayan forward Dylan Nandín. Bosnian Danilovic equalized for the islanders, but Spaniard Puche put Vasco Seabra's team back in front. Barbero, the Arouca's new signing for the 2025/26 season, sealed the victory with a brace.

In addition to the standard 90 minutes, the game also featured 50 extra minutes at the Arouca Training Ground. On the home team, only Vinarcik, Tiago Esgaio, Pablo, Loum, and Marozau didn't play any minutes.

Arouca thus returned to winning ways in this pre-season, which ends next Saturday, with two matches, against Petro de Luanda and Famalicão
