Algarvian Ussumani Djumo is Portuguese Champion in the 110 meter hurdles

CAOV – Clube de Atletismo Olímpico Vianense and Algarve's Ussumani Djumo once again brought excitement and competitiveness to the track, with the Armacenense native once again demonstrating his worth by winning the 110-meter hurdles in 14.36 seconds.
"The Championship was marked by the commitment, dedication and team spirit demonstrated by all the athletes of CAOV – Clube de Atletismo Olímpico Vianense, where the pride and determination with which Ussumani Djumo and all the other athletes wore the jersey of the Viana do Castelo club stood out", states the collective.
At the end of the race, the Algarve athlete began by saying: "I'm very excited about this achievement! I was always very confident, I knew it would work out, the fight was for the podium."
Ussumani Djumo added: "It was a very, very happy victory; we believed until the end that the victory would belong to CAOV. I'm very proud of this group. My congratulations to all the athletes and coaches at Olímpico Vianense and to the entire structure of this club. Everyone's commitment and dedication demonstrated the excellent work we've been doing at this Viana do Castelo club."
Fernando Alves, president of CAOV, was thrilled with the result and stated, "It's a huge achievement; this is where we want to be: first place in the final standings. This victory belongs to everyone: the athletes, the coaching staff, the management, and everyone who accompanies us in every race and every training session."
