Albufeira Skating Club crowned four-time regional champion

The Albufeira Skating Club was present at the 2025 Regional Solo Dance Championship, in which it hosted the event that took place at the Olhos de Água Sports Pavilion, between the 10th and 11th of May, winning first place, for the fourth consecutive year, out of five participating teams.

It is worth noting that the Albufeira Skating Club had two regional champion athletes, Luan Andrade in the male cadet category and Kalebe Passos in the male junior category.

There were also two regional runners-up, Laura Cláudio in the female children's category and Rafaela Matias in the female junior category.

Also noteworthy is the third place of athlete Joana Valente in the female beginners category.

It is worth noting that solo dance is a specialty of Artistic Skating, a specialty that is growing rapidly at the Alentejo and Algarve Skating Association ( APAA ).

The athletes from the Albufeira Skating Club who are four-time champions are: Laura Claudio, Lara Ferreira, Inês Dias, Joana Valente, Luan Andrade, Andrea Coello, Barbara Neves, Beatriz Gonçalves, Eva Coimbra, Sofia Coello, Kalebe Passos and Rafaela Matias.

The collective's technical team, specializing in solo dance, is made up of trainer Diogo Leitão and Gabriela Bastos, and dance teacher Beverley Rogers.
