The players from Szczecin's Skolwin defeated the reserves of the first-league Miedź on the artificial turf pitch in the City Park in Legnica and advanced to the 1/16 finals of the Polish Football Association, for which, in accordance with the regulations of the Polish Football Association, they earned PLN 45,000, and each subsequent advancement will be rewarded with even more generous prizes!
First round of the Polish Football Cup: MIEDŹ II Legnica - ŚWIT Szczecin 1:3 (0:0); 0:1 Grzegorz Aftyka (52 penalty), 0:2 Dawid Kort (58), 1:2 Mateusz Ciapa (68), 1:3 Dawid Kort (70).
DAWN: Oskar Klon - Szymon Nowicki, Sebastian Rogala, Robert Obst, Jędrzej Góral (77 Maciej Koziara), Damian Ciechanowski - Dawid Kort (83 Kacper Gołębiewski), Kacper Wojdak (90 Kacper Żendełek), Grzegorz Aftyka (77 Kacper Nowak) - Krzysztof Ropski (83 Alan Dziuniak), Mikołaj Lebedyński
Yellow card: Rogala. Referee: Maciej Węgrzyk (Rybnik). Spectators: 150, including 3 from Szczecin.
From the beginning of the match, the third-division hosts focused on massive defense and counterattacks, in which the most dangerous were the foreigners, Emmanuel Okoh and Modou Keita, and in the first half the Szczecin team created several good shooting positions, which, however, they did not use (Kort twice, as well as Aftyka, Ropski and Lebedyński).
Less than fifteen minutes after the break, Aftyka gave Świt the lead with a penalty kick after a foul on Góral. Six minutes later, the Szczecin team regained the ball from Legnica after pressing, and Kort added a precise shot. After that goal, the match evened up, and in the 68th minute, after a foul by Rogala, Ciapa scored with a free kick from 20 meters out. Fortunately, in the very next move, after Aftyka's counterattack, Kort restored the two-goal lead with a shot into the near corner (the ball brushed the post). Koziara, introduced late on, provided a significant boost, and his pass could have allowed Dziuniak to score the fourth, but his shot hit the goalkeeper. In the 90th minute, after a foul by Wojdak, Klon saved a penalty shot by Ciapa (in the preliminary round, Klon also saved a shot from 11 meters, then in a penalty shootout), and in added time the hosts had another good opportunity, but they did not take advantage of it, so the match ended with a confident and deserved victory for the team from Skolwin.
On Saturday at 4:30 PM at the stadium on Stołczyńska Street, Świt will host Chojniczanka Chojnice in a second-division match, and children from the club's academy and their parents will have free admission to the match. ©℗ (mij)

Who really cares? Football is a sport for idiots; there's nothing to get excited about.

Way to go
