For its 14th edition, the Granfondo di Poppi is greatly expanding its sports offerings to include other disciplines, including running with the "City Trail" on Saturday 21 June , a 10km night race. A true gift from the organisers to the city, transforming the race, a stage of the UmbriaTuscany Mtb as well as the Tour 3 Regioni and Mtb Tour Toscana, into an event that will also involve Saturday.

The main event remains the Granfondo, which this year has been softened a bit in its design. The main route is 42 km for 1,500 meters of altitude difference, which last year saw the victories of Nicola Furiasse and Giorgia Giannotti. The medium is 26 km for 900 meters, as for all the races of the Umbrian-Tuscan circuit in conjunction there will also be the test for Esordienti and Allievi of 15 km for 500 meters. Departure at 9:30 for the long and followed, at a distance of 5 minutes, by the medium and the youth test, always from the beautiful setting of the Castello dei Conti Guidi.

Registrations are still open, but in the meantime the 500 bikers who have given their adhesion have already been exceeded. The cost is 30 euros until Friday, for those who want to register directly on site during the weekend the sale price is 35 euros. In the meantime the Bottecchia Factory Team has already given its adhesion with all its champions.

Confirmed compared to last year, in addition to the general rankings with prizes for the first 3 overall and first 8 in category, also the Marco Magni Memorial Hill Climb and Downhill Time Trial and the GPM dedicated to Paolo Furieri. The collection of race numbers and packs will be on Saturday in Piazza Folli in the historic city center, Saturday from 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm and Sunday from 7:30 am to 8:30 am.

Not just Granfondo, though. Saturday will in fact provide great emotions at 2:30 pm with the free E-bike ride with free registration, and at 8:30 pm the great novelty of the 10 km running race designed in the historic center of Poppi.
