World Championship: National Women's Volleyball Team advances to championship match

The Turkish National Women's Volleyball Team will face Italy today (September 7) in the final match of the World Championship in Thailand.
The Sultans of the Net had advanced to the final of the championship in Thailand for the first time by beating Japan 3-1 in the semi-finals on September 6.
In the other semi-final match, Italy defeated Brazil 3-2 and advanced to the final.

The Turkish National Women's Volleyball Team will take the court today to compete for the championship. The match in Bangkok will kick off at 3:30 PM and will be broadcast live on TRT 1.
If the Sultans of the Net win, they will become champions for the first time in the tournament.
The cast of the Sultans of the Net is as follows: Eda Erdem Dündar, Cansu Özbay, Elif Şahin, Melissa Vargas, Ebrar Karakurt, Hande Baladın, Derya Cebecioğlu, İlkin Aydın, Yaprak Erkek, Zehra Güneş, Aslı Kalaç, Sinead Jack-Kısal, Gizem Örge and Eylül Akarçeşme Yatgın.
The national team, which first participated in the Women's World Volleyball Championship in 2006, is appearing in the quadrennial event for the sixth consecutive time.

The national team, which finished the championship in 10th place in 2006, finished 6th in 2010 with seven wins and seven losses.
The Sultans of the Net finished the organization in 9th place in 2014, 10th in 2018 and 8th in 2022.
