Brazil won the bronze medal at the 2025 FIVB Women's World Volleyball Championship, defeating Japan, coached by Turkish head coach Ferhat Akbaş, 3-2.
Japan advanced to the semi-finals after 15 years, and Ferhat Akbaş became the first Turkish head coach in World Championship history to reach the semi-finals.
