The National Women's Volleyball Team advanced to the semifinals of the World Volleyball Championship by defeating the USA 3-1 in the quarterfinals. The Sultans of the Net will face Japan, coached by Turkish head coach Ferhat Akbaş, in the semifinals.

The Sultans of the Net faced the USA in the quarterfinals of the World Championship held in Thailand. The national team dominated the match throughout, defeating the USA 3-1 and advancing to the World Championship semifinals. The Sultans won the sets 25-14, 25-14, and 25-23, while the USA won the only set, winning 25-22.

THEY MADE HISTORY

By defeating the USA, the National team advanced to the semi-finals for the first time in World Championship history.

The Sultans will face Japan, coached by Turkish head coach Ferhat Akbaş, in the semifinals. The match will be played tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. The national team finished 10th in the championship in 2006, then 6th in 2010 with a record of 7 wins and 7 losses. They finished 9th in 2014, 10th in 2018, and 8th in 2022.
