Former Premier League referee admits taking 'inappropriate' photo of child

Former Premier League referee David Coote has admitted taking an 'inappropriate' photograph of a child.

According to TRT Spor, in November 2024, the Professional Match Referees Association of England (PGMOL) announced the suspension of David Coote, who was videotaped swearing at Liverpool and the club's manager at the time, Jürgen Klopp.

The 43-year-old former referee was accused of child abuse in an investigation launched in Britain in August.

According to the BBC , Coote admitted taking inappropriate photographs of a child in 2020 at a hearing in Nottinghamshire.

The former Premier League referee, who was released on conditional bail, will appear in court again on December 11.
