Ali Koç gave his final message from SÖZCÜ: 'Trust, stability, victory...'

He has run for Fenerbahçe President for the fourth time at the Extraordinary General Assembly to be held on September 20-21. Having defeated Aziz Yıldırım twice in 2018 and 2024, and running alone in 2021, Ali Koç will this time compete against Sadettin Saran.

SÖZCÜ GAVE HIS LAST MESSAGE TO THE COMMUNITY

With the election just days away, Ali Koç chose SÖZCÜ to deliver his final message to the community. Meeting with Yasin Yıldırım, Sports Director of Sözcü Newspaper, Koç explained why they should vote for him again in three words: "Stability, trust, and victory."

'OUR DREAM IS TO BE A CHAMPION IN EVERY FIELD'

President Ali Koç stated that they continue their journey with the motto of "taking Fenerbahçe to a much better level and achieving success in every field befitting the world's greatest sports club," and added, "The aim of our struggle is clear."

'THE GREATEST RESPONSIBILITY...'

"Fenerbahçe is not just a club for us; it is the greatest responsibility of our lives. At the end of this season, we will see that Fenerbahçe will once again go down in history in golden letters with the championship it won, its independence, and the shoulder-to-shoulder stance of our community."

'THE CLUB CAME HERE FROM BANKRUPTCY'

Our most significant achievement is that we've made the club financially manageable. We've come from being the closest club in Europe to bankruptcy to this point. The level of revenue and economic growth we've achieved is clear. If we were successful in football, we'd be talking about something else entirely. Our members understand our struggle and our intentions. We've served our club with pure, sincere, and unconditional love.

"WE WILL KEEP OUR PROMISE OF BEING A CHAMPION"

Ali Koç stated that the only missing piece in their seven years in office was a football championship. President Koç said, “We will repay this debt to our community this year. We are building not only Fenerbahçe's present but also its future. We have passed the repair period and are embarking on a period of progress. The steps we have taken to establish financial discipline, our struggle to leave the Banks Union, our future-oriented facility investments, and our historic achievements in all branches except football are evident.”

'THERE ARE FOREIGNERS WHO MUST COME'

Foreign VAR, which was implemented starting in the 20th week of last season, has been shelved this season. With five weeks left in the Süper Lig, Turkish referees have taken over the VAR role. Fenerbahçe's stance on this matter is clear. President Ali Koç reiterated his demand for a foreign VAR referee: "Foreign referees are difficult, but a foreign VAR referee must absolutely be appointed. We saw the importance of this once again in the last Trabzonspor match. We constantly emphasize this."

'HE GAMBLING AND WAS REWARDED'

Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç made some striking statements about the refereeing community. Koç protested, "Recently, we investigated photos of one of our referees (Yaşar Kemal Uğurlu) taken at a casino. We identified him by his watch and trousers and filed our complaints. He was asked to provide a defense, but he retired without giving one. Later, this person became the Deputy Director of VAR. There's no director now, so he's the one directly in charge of VAR! What kind of mentality is this? Why isn't it being investigated? Why isn't it being brought to the forefront?"
