Adana Demirspor President Murat Sancak: If the debts are paid off, I will hand the club over to the fans.

Adana Demirspor Club President Murat Sancak announced that he would hand over the club to the fans and the dynamics of the city if the debts were paid off.
Adana Demirspor finished last in the Super League with 2 points in the 2024-25 season.
FIFA and the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) had separately deducted points from Adana's club during the season, but the reasons for these penalties were not disclosed. The club also sold off most of its players last season due to financial difficulties.
Sancak Adana Demirspor made the following statement from its X account:
“I had declared to Telat Şahin and Umut Düşkün, who came to meet me, that if our club’s debts were paid off, I would hand over Adana Demirspor to the dynamics of the city and its fans without any expectations.
"I now declare this to you, our valued community, and to the public. I stand behind this statement."
Sancak stated that he has been following the campaign launched by the Long Live Demirspor Platform and asserted that he is ready to do his part for the healthy progress of the process.
Sancak continued:
"I will transfer shares equal to the debt paid by the Long Live Demirspor Platform. Once the debt is paid off in a transparent and official manner, I will hand over the management of Adana Demirspor to the true owners of this city, its fans. This isn't a promise; it's a commitment."
The amount collected in this campaign will be transferred to the association in proportion to its shares. The company's shares will be transferred to the ADS Association, and the association's board of directors will be transferred to a management team comprised of city leaders and supporters who will benefit ADS.
