Swimmer from Barnaul wins gold in Russian Cup final tournament

The winner of the swimming tournament in one of the disciplines was Barnaul athlete Yan Shapkin. This was reported by "Altai Sport".

Today, June 26, the large-scale competitions of the Russian Cup final will end in Kazan. Barnaul athlete Yan Shapkin added one of the victories of the competition to his collection of awards.
He came to the finish line first in the 50-meter backstroke. Yan Shapkin took gold with a result of 25.09 seconds, beating the master of sports of international class from the Tyumen region Yegor Yurchenko by 0.1 seconds. Third place went to the master of sports from St. Petersburg Lev Mazura with a result of 25.47 seconds.
It should be noted that for 19-year-old Yan Shapka, this gold was the highest achievement in his sports career. It was the first time he took such a high place in an adult competition of the all-Russian scale.
