Novy Urengoy will host the first stage of the Russian Snow Volleyball Championship.

The first stage of the Russian Snow Volleyball Championship will take place in Novy Urengoy from November 14–16, according to the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Department of Physical Culture and Sports.

The gas capital of Yamal will once again host a spectacular winter sport. The city's central square will host the first stage of the 2025–2026 Russian Snow Volleyball Championship. Seven men's and nine women's teams from across the country will compete for victory.

The group stage will take place on November 14, the semi-finals on the 15, and the finals and bronze medal matches on the 16.

The Novy Urengoy team "Fakel Yamal" will be a particular draw for fans. They have already won bronze at the Russian Championship and the Russian Cup. This season, Fakel Yamal will feature Russian snow volleyball stars Alexander Kramarenko, Miroslav Turovsky, Alexey Gusev, and Yegor Zharovin.
