Barys' head coach complained about the virus after the loss to Metallurg.

Astana team coach Mikhail Kravets commented on the match in which his Barys team lost to Magnitogorsk Metallurg with a score of 1:4.
According to the coach, Barys lost to a truly strong team this time. However, in some situations, Kravets believes, his players put up a very good fight against Magnitogorsk. For example, while shorthanded several times during the match, Barys kept a goal off the board, despite Metallurg being considered the league's best power play team.
Regarding Barys's problems, the coach believes several factors played a role in the game. "We're not just playing our fourth game, but seven games in a short period of time," explains Mikhail Kravets. "Plus, I don't want to make excuses, but it's true: illnesses, the virus, and roster substitutions. That all plays a role."
