Savarino is called up and will miss Botafogo's match against Sport.

Botafogo will be without Savarino against Sport on the 18th of this month, at the Nilton Santos Stadium, for the 34th round of the Brazilian Championship. The Venezuelan national team has called up the Botafogo midfielder for commitments during this FIFA international break: friendlies against Australia and Canada, both in the United States. The first will be in Houston and the second in Fort Lauderdale, in sunny Florida.

Botafogo's number 10, Vinho Tinto, failed to qualify for the 2026 World Cup and remains without any participation in the tournament. In the national team, Sava will be under the orders of interim coach Fernando Aristeguieta.

The midfielder was absent from the national team during the last FIFA international break, in the friendlies against Argentina and Belize, also in the United States, in October. Last month, however, the team was under the control of the interim coach, Oswaldo Vizcarrondo.

Before receiving Sport's visit, Botafogo faces Vitória, with Savarino, this Sunday (9), away from home, in Salvador, for the 33rd round of the Brasileirão. The Most Traditional is in sixth place, with 51 points. The top seven are awarded places in the next edition of the Copa Libertadores.
