Santa Clara and Farense draw 1-1 in friendly match
Santa Clara, from the I Liga football league, and Farense , from the second tier, drew 1-1 today in a preparation game for the 2025/26 season, held in the Algarve.
In the match played at the Farense academy, in São Brás de Alportel, the Azorean team opened the scoring in the 75th minute, through forward João Costa, after an assist from Brazilian Gabriel Silva.
In the 80th minute, the Farense team managed to equalize with a goal from Cape Verdean Rivaldo Morais, thus closing the friendly match.
The match took place the day after Vasco Matos's team triumphed against Wolverhampton (2-1) in another preparation game, after drawing with Louletano (0-0) and beating English side Middlesbrough (1-0) in this pre-season.
