Russian tennis player reveals Rune's romantic messages on social media: 'He shoots everywhere'

Danish tennis player Holger Rune has once again made headlines for his off-court behavior. Russian tennis player Anna Kalinskaya revealed that she had been approached by the player on her profile in an interview with the First&Red podcast.

"He writes to everyone, it seems. He thinks too much of himself, he thinks he's too important, but he's not the only one. I think he's desperate," said the Russian tennis player.

Kalinskaya, ranked 34th in the WTA rankings, was once the girlfriend of Jannik Sinner, currently ranked number 2 in the ATP rankings. She was also asked if these approaches are common in the tennis world. "It used to be more frequent. Now that I'm older, I don't know," said the 26-year-old Russian.

The interview's repercussions prompted Rune to use his social media profile to give his version of events. "We may have cultural differences that make Anna read a comment on a story as an invitation to a date. If I want to go on a date, I'll ask, don't worry," he replied.
