Tennis player Carlos Alcaraz surprised fans by opting for a new look, bleaching his hair. Images of the transformation were shared on the social media account of the athlete's longtime barber on Tuesday the 9th.

"Men dress from the feet up, and this guy delivers. Number 1 again and with a new look. Carlitos, we're crazy," wrote barber Victor Martinez in the post on his Instagram account.

The reference is due to the 22-year-old Spaniard's return to the top of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) rankings , with the conquest of his most recent title, the US Open .

Before lifting the tournament trophy for the second time in his career, he had already shaved his head. At the time, he said the cut had been an accident caused by his brother, Alvaro Alcaraz, who couldn't "get to grips with the clippers."

Alcaraz beat then-number 1 Jannik Sinner 3 sets to 1 in the US Open final last Sunday, the 7th. The Spaniard also surpassed the US$50 million mark in prize money.
