Brazilian journalist Venê Casagrande wrote on his social media account X that Santa Clara will exercise the option to buy Wendel Silva, paying FC Porto €2 million for the player's entirety. These terms do not coincide with what was established between the two clubs in the loan agreement, which included a purchase option by Santa Clara of 75 percent of the player's economic rights, for a total value of €1.35 million, which becomes mandatory subject to the fulfillment of certain conditions.
