Here: Sporting's false start and Lage expects three more reinforcements

The national sports press this Thursday highlights Sporting's performance in the friendly match against Celtic, which ended in a 2-0 defeat for the Lions, in an integration of Rui Borges' new system, who tried to play in a 4x2x3x1 at the Estádio do Algarve, but did not have good results in reaching the opponent's goal.

Goalkeeper Rui Silva dismissed the result and says the squad is still adjusting. "That's what these games are for. We want to improve, of course, but I also want to highlight the team's attitude. We did some positive things, without a doubt, and we could have scored goals too. But now we have to recover well and get ready for the start of the official matches. We still have some friendlies to fine-tune those details, and we'll get there," he said after the match.

Bruno Lage is reportedly awaiting further reinforcements before the start of the season. Benfica's coach wants three new faces to join the squad, with a midfielder, a winger, and a forward in the pipeline, following the signing of Enzo Barrenechea from Aston Villa.

Francisco Conceição is leaving FC Porto and will forgo approximately six million euros to join Juventus. The Portuguese international winger ended up giving up the 20% of the transfer fee he was entitled to in order to lower the amount requested by president André Villas-Boas, who wanted the release clause valued at approximately 30 million euros.
