Former BBB who won a lawsuit against Paraná Clube, Hadballa is announced in a new team

Former BBB who won a lawsuit against Paraná Clube, Hadballa is announced in a new team

Former Paraná Clube player and former BBB (Big Brother Brazil) contestant, Hadson Nery was announced as the new coach of Vênus Atlético Clube, from Pará. The information was released by Itatiaia .

With the agreement, the team will be led by Hadballa , as he became known after participating in the reality show, competing in the second division of the Campeonato Paraense. The debut will be on September 20th, against Santos Athlético Clube do Pará.

On social media, Hadson celebrated the new opportunity. This is because the former Big Brother Brasil contestant is a licensed coach with the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) and lasted less than a month in his last job. As coach of Varginha Esporte Clube, in Minas Gerais, Hadballa won two and suffered six losses in April 2023.

"Thank you, Jesus, for this new opportunity to do what I love. Thank you, Vênus Atlético Clube, for your trust, and let's go together in pursuit of our goal," Hadson posted on social media.

A former midfielder, Hadballa became known for having played for Paraná Clube despite never having played on the field. And here's the thing: he received nearly R$1.5 million from the club through a labor lawsuit.

Tricolor signed a contract with the player with a salary of R$1,600 per month. This was R$650 in CLT plus R$1,000 in image rights.

Hadson was originally supposed to be used in the 2003 Paraná State Championship, but he ended up not making it onto the field. As a result, president Ênio Ribeiro de Andrade decided to release Hadballa.

However, Hadballa filed a lawsuit in Labor Court, alleging a breach of contract. In 2008, the player won the lower court ruling, with Tricolor being ordered to pay R$2.5 million.

Paraná Clube appealed and reached an agreement with the athlete: R$1 million paid in 80 installments (almost seven years), which started at R$7,000. Adjusted for inflation, the amount reached R$15,000.

However, the club stopped paying the installments, prompting a new lawsuit. Hadballa requested the seizure of the Avenida Kennedy property, TV and sponsorship fees. The parties reached a new agreement, paying R$480,000 in fines in addition to the R$1 million already paid. As a result, the Tricolor returned to its commitment and paid off the balance in 2016.
