Cuiabanos eliminate favorites and advance to the quarterfinals in the BT 100 of Sinop (MT)

Godoy and Roma defeated their rivals 4/6 7/6 (7/2) 10/4 and will fight for a place in the semifinals against young Caio Gazoli and Matheus Schiavinato, who defeated Vinicius Schurtz and Bruno Alcantara 5/7 7/6 (7/5) 11/9. Alcantara and Schurtz had just beaten the main favorites in their debut, Venezuelan Ramon Guedez, former top 10 player, and João Wiesinger.
Marcela Balduíno from Cuiabá and Italian Flaminia Daina, 13th in the world and former leader of the ranking, are also in the quarterfinals after triumphing over Rafaela Nirzin and Luana Turbay by 7/6 (7/1) 6/3 and will face the main favorites, Portuguese Marta Magalhães and Brazilian Ana Preisner.
Mato Grosso native Sophia Fiedler, from Rondonópolis, and Santa Catarina native Beatriz Valerio defeated Talita Morais and Cristina Bolina with a double 6/0 and are fighting for a place in the semifinals against Sue Faria and Gabriela Martins.
This Saturday's round begins at 3:30 p.m. with quarterfinal matches and the semifinals in the evening. The finals take place on Sunday at 9 a.m. local time.
The competitions take place at Orla do Aquarela das Artes with eight Beach Tennis courts and the event has free entry.
The tournament is sponsored by Fobel and Hotel Íbis, Ayla Móveis, Cria Amigos, and Royal Prestige, and is supported by the Federal Government's Incentive Law through the Ministry of Sports. The Sinop City Hall is also a partner in the tournament. The event is organized by the Hornets, Arena Beachpeak and Arena Ravenna, the Mato Grosso Tennis Federation, the Brazilian Tennis Confederation, and the International Tennis Federation.
