Earthlings analyze the controversy between Filipe Luís and Pedro

The statements made by coach Filipe Luís about striker Pedro, after Flamengo 's victory over São Paulo last Saturday (12), continue to have repercussions. The Terrabolistas program, on the Terra portal, this Monday (14) addressed the subject and the impact it has on the red-black squad.

For Estadão journalist Amanda Porfírio, the situation reached a breaking point for the coach to address the issue in such a way at the press conference. Furthermore, Amanda points out that Filipe acted wisely to prevent the striker's behavior from influencing the rest of the squad.

"I think the reason he did this is because he reached a limit. He's not a boy to expose himself, and whether we like it or not, we know that's not common; a lot of things stay in the locker room. And I sincerely agree with this stance, which is sometimes necessary to avoid infecting the other players. I don't think there's any division within this locker room today; there's an expectation that things will improve, and that he, Filipe Luís, is a central figure in this calm," he highlighted.

Journalist Aline Bravo agreed with her colleague, noting that the striker already has issues with the board. However, Bravo emphasizes that fans and coaches cannot be victims of conflicts between the player and the club.

"Pedro has had a disagreement with Flamengo's board for some time now. But this disagreement can't be carried over to the field, because the fans and Filipe himself have nothing to do with Pedro's legal issues. And, really, this training culture can be affected when someone is slacking off and the coach is covering up," he emphasized.
