Benfica SAD returns to positive financial results

Benfica SAD returns to positive financial results

Benfica SAD reported positive results of €34.4 million in the 2024/25 financial year. This represents a return to profit.

The positive numbers came from player transfers. It's worth noting that the net result would have been negative by 12 million euros without the extraordinary revenues.

Sales up until the end of June include, among others, the departures of Arthur Cabral, João Neves and Marcos Leonardo.

SAD recorded a positive result, between hiring and sales, of 46.7 million euros.

Operating expenses rose to €226 million, €20 million more than in the previous year. This includes compensation paid to coach Roger Schmidt.

Operating income reached 230 million euros, up 54 million.

Equity also rose to 116 million euros, the highest value in the last four years.

In turn, net debt fell by five million euros (196.9 million euros) and liabilities fell by 2%.
