National sport in Poland? The survey results leave no doubt!

The heated atmosphere surrounding the Polish men's national football team has once again brought sport into the national spotlight. Adding to this other important events – mainly in a purely sporting context (results, successes, failures) – a question was asked, which was asked by the SW Research agency in a special study, on behalf of the editorial staff of "Wprost".
How did it sound? It was more complex, referring to a period lasting more than two decades. Namely, we asked:
In light of the results achieved by Polish women and men in the 21st century, which sport should be considered the national sport in the country? – we asked Polish women and men in a survey.
What are the effects? It seems that for some, die-hard football fans, they may be very surprising.
Volleyball is the national sport in Poland! The survey leaves no doubtLooking at the global nature of football, it seems that you simply cannot compete with this sport. This seems obvious. However, issues concerning the joy of successes brought by national teams in recent years are something else. Here, the Polish volleyball team - whether women's or, above all, men's - regularly provides great reasons to be proud. Leading the way is this latest success, the Olympic vice-championship.
It is also impossible not to mention, for example, two gold medals at the World Championships (2014 and 2018), the same number of gold medals in the men's European Championships (2009 and 2023) and in the women's championship of the Old Continent (2003 and 2005).
Interestingly, on the podium, next to the leading volleyball (46.9%) and football (third in the hierarchy, 13.5%), the second position is held by... the undecided, who do not have a clear opinion (13.5%) in response to the question asked. If this group were excluded, the podium among the declared sports would be athletics (8.9%).
