Majchrzak assessed his performance at Wimbledon. He had no doubts.

"I've won a lot of lower-tier tournaments in my life. It's nice to collect trophies, but I admit that reaching the fourth round of a Grand Slam is the greatest success of my career so far," Majchrzak said.

– I had a great result in London, I played very good matches. I am happy with the tennis I played – added the Piotrków player, who was undoubtedly one of the revelations of the Wimbledon tournament.

His success is all the greater because nothing foreshadowed it. Majchrzak had lost seven consecutive matches before arriving in the capital of Great Britain. He also had no luck in the draw, because he immediately ran into the 2021 Wimbledon finalist, Italian Matteo Berrettini.

"First of all, before Wimbledon, I hadn't won a single match on grass this season. And on top of that, Berrettini is undoubtedly one of the best tennis players on this surface. Knowing I'd drawn him in the first round, my expectations dropped. However, I focused on performing well in this match and enjoying the fact that I could compete against such a player on the tennis temple that is Wimbledon," he recalled.

As he admitted, during the match it turned out that he could play an equal game with the favored opponent.

"I felt good on the court. Game by game, I was reading my opponent's game better and better. My confidence grew. I also didn't make any mistakes. I'm glad that when I had a break point in the fifth set, I didn't panic and ultimately won the match. This gave me a lot of confidence for the next matches," Majchrzak said.

In the next two rounds, the Pole confidently beat first the American Ethan Quinn and then the Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech in three sets.

"Quinn is a young player who is having a very good season. He's stormed into the ATP Top 100. He's playing interesting, varied tennis. Tactically, I'd rate this match a 9.5 out of 10. I took away all his strengths. I forced him to play on my terms. I was consistent, but I was also able to enforce that consistency. The match against the Frenchman in the third round, in my opinion, was the best I played in London. Although I won 3-0 in straight sets, it wasn't an easy victory," he commented.

It was Karen Chaczanow who found a way to deal with Majchrzak. The 17th seeded Russian confidently defeated the tennis player from Piotrków Trybunalski.

"Moreover, looking back over the past few days, I think I played a pretty good match against Khachanov. The only difference is that my opponent played brilliantly. While I was taking away my opponent's strengths in the second and third round matches, in the quarterfinal match, my opponent completely wiped out all my strengths. He transitioned brilliantly from defense to offense and usually finished victoriously. I maintained my level in this match, but he was out of reach that day," Majchrzak assessed.

After his success in London, the Piotrkowian will move up about 30 places in the singles ranking and will be in the 80th position, which will have a significant impact on the calendar of starts he will be planning for the second half of the season.

"Thanks to this, I want to permanently switch to ATP tournaments. I won't even be competing in the strongest challengers anymore. Starting Monday, I'll play in Gstaad, Switzerland, and a week later in Umag, Croatia, and those will be my last two clay-court events this year. Then I'll take a two-, maybe three-week break and fly to America for hard courts, but we haven't decided which tournaments we'll choose yet," he said.

Before this year's season, Majchrzak, while still outside the top 100 of the ATP rankings, announced that his goal was to advance to the Top 50.

"This is my life goal. This is the ranking I'd like to achieve, and I'm getting closer. Especially since I won't have many points to defend in the coming weeks. Competing in higher-level tournaments gives me a chance to continue climbing the rankings," the tennis player concluded.
