Slovenian volleyball players defeated the defending champions, Olympic champions from Tokyo and Paris, France 3-1 (25-22, 15-25, 25-19, 25-18) in Ningbo, China, and advanced to the semi-finals of the Nations League.

Slovenia will be reaching the Nations League semifinals for the third time in its history, and the second in a row. In 2021, it lost to Poland, and last year, it was defeated by Japan. The team has never reached the podium in the competition.
In the semi-finals, Slovenia will play against Italy, who defeated Cuba 3-1 on Wednesday.
In the second semi-final, Poland will face Brazil.
The medal matches are scheduled for Sunday, July 3.
