Football. Pogoń lost, Koulouris missed a penalty...

The Port team lost their second away match of the season, falling to Gdynia, whose first victory since returning to the top flight. After a rather surprising one-match absence, Szczecin's best striker, Koulouris, played for the team, but he didn't put in a strong performance, including missing a penalty...

The first half began with the home side attacking, but the Port team quickly seized the initiative, exemplified by a goal. After conceding a goal, Gdynia pressed again, equalizing in stoppage time just before the break. Besides the goals, there was also a controversial moment when Juwara was fiercely challenged in the corner of the Arka penalty area, but the referee didn't consider a penalty...
In the fifth minute, Koulouris played a close-range pass from Borges, but the ball didn't reach Huja and went half a meter wide. Ten minutes later, Pozo shot from distance, but the ball flew wide. In the 28th minute, Kamiński saved Predenkiewicz's shot, and three minutes later, Koulouris finished Juwara's solo effort with a header over the crossbar. In the 36th minute, Kamiński, a rather nervous goalkeeper, made a significant error in the area and had to save himself with a fierce challenge from Kocyła. Two minutes later, after a short corner, Grosicki passed the ball to Loncar, who headed it in from close range to take the lead. A minute before halftime, after a fine move by Arka, the unattacked Kerk shot from inside the penalty area, and the ball, deflected off Huja, found the back of the net.
The second half began with Pozo's shot blocked, and then the Tricity team took the initiative, firing a flurry of crosses into the Szczecin penalty area. In the 74th minute, Grosicki shot from close range after a pass from Koutris, but the ball, deflected by Celestine, narrowly missed the post. In the 74th minute, after one of Grosicki's rare good runs, Pozo extended the ball from close range, and Celestine cleared it with his hand. The referee paused play for a while, reviewed the controversial situation on the monitor, and awarded a penalty. Koulouris probably shouldn't have been the penalty taker, as he'd had a stressful week, but the Greek shot nonetheless, and it wasn't a good one, being too light and at a height most comfortable for a goalkeeper. Węglarz saved last season's top scorer. In the 80th minute, Koutris kicked the ball out from under the Szczecin goal directly to Pogoń alum Jakubczyk, who fired into the top corner to give Arka the win. He then provocatively ran towards the Szczecin bench, sparking a heated argument that ended with yellow cards, including for the scorer. Both teams had another good chance late in the period; first, Przyborek's shot was saved, and moments later, Koulouris lost the ball near the other goal, but Oliveira's shot was saved by Kamiński. ©℗ (mij)

A complete false start

Pogoń is toothless and colorless for now. We've dropped 9 points after just 4 matches. Things are looking bleak with the prospect of a top-four finish. The post-match ratings of individual players clearly show that with this kind of play and attitude, it will be difficult to even stay in the top flight. Matches against top-tier teams will soon arrive. With this kind of play, we have zero chance of winning. Something's not right here. It'll be even worse against Górnik at home.

Three away games and only one point out of a possible nine. Of course, there was a lot of simple bad luck, but this is a points disaster. Under Runjajic, Pogoń's players covered anywhere from 114 kilometers to as much as 121 kilometers per match. Now they've covered 99 kilometers in Nieciecza, and 106 kilometers in Gdynia. There's no midfield. And we still have matches against the best teams in the country ahead of us. It's scary. Will we see a repeat of Śląsk's fate?

If anyone still believes in winning the league or EVEN the Polish Cup this season, I will call him a fool and without any offense to the footballer, he should go to heaven and staying in the top flight is a PRIORITY

Alex, I respect and admire you. You saved my club from collapse. I have a big request. Stop talking nonsense publicly about a podium finish at the end of the season. Pogoń is a weak team, poorly formed, and on top of that, they're unlucky, and they'll stay that way. They've already conceded three goals on deflections, and their opponents are scoring the goals of their lives. It all looks bad. Today, the center-backs covered more ground than the midfielders. This is sick. If we don't win against Zabrze, we're going to fall into the abyss.
